Why would I need an amplifier?
Is a Schlemper amplifier powerful enough?
Are there cheaper solutions to amplify my guitar?
Where can I buy a Schlemper System ?
Do I really have to come to your workshop ?
First of all, an amplifier opens many new areas of work for you. Almost in all situations where your guitar comes together with other instruments, an amplifier is useful. Big rooms may also require amplification. But don't expect a miracle: The acoustics of the room will stay the same and have an influence on the resulting sound. Amplification only allows you to make better use of the acoustics around you.
My systems are as small as possible because hardly any guitarist likes to carry tons of equipment. Big PAs are pretty much useless in the daily routine of a performing guitarist, even though they usually have a good sound. Because even the most brilliant small-sized system is somewhat restricted in power, the Schlemper-System can be linked with big PAs and that gives you a really impressive sound.
If you play a good guitar, which costs a few thousand dollars you can't expect to have this sound amplified well with a cheap system of only a few hundred dollars. A Schlemper-System including installation, adjustment, and training does not cost more than a roughly comparable system on the market.
My systems are installed only in my shop in Worpswede and there is a reason why you can't by them on the market. Only an individually fitted system works well and sounds good. Guitarists from many different countries know this and come to my shop to have a system installed.
Theoretically, one could send the guitar and I even have a special courier system for this purpose. But if time is a concern, this would not be the solution.
Everybody who has taken a technical "plug-and-play" device out of its package knows that it does take some time before everything runs smoothly. It saves time if you are instructed by somebody who is already informed and you can directly ask any questions you may have.
I do not take additional charges for this service, because it is important to me that you play a perfect first concert with your new amplifier. I don't want to sell something quickly, but create something that makes sense to guitarists. All in all we even save time if people come to my shop and the result will also be better. This is especially true if you want to use the wireless system.
It depends on the kind of system, but in any case as few as possible. You can avoid alteration of the instrument altogether in some cases, but in most cases it will be necessary to work with a pick-up system that is adjusted to the instrument. This is done in my workshop taking the greatest care. The bridge inlay is replaced and a small passage is placed under it. A hole for the plug is often not necessary.
It usually takes between three and five hours to install my systems.
