A Schlemper guitar can be enjoyed for a lifetime. It ages like good wine and improves constantly. If you consider all the joy you get from such an instrument over the years, prices of 4000 to 8000 $US don't seem all that much.

There is no off-the-shelf material in my workshop. Everything is traditionally handcrafted from the finest wood and materials, such as hide glue and French polish. All purfling is made by hand.

Only 12 to 20 instruments are completed in my workshop per year because they are tailored to suit each individual guitarist. You can choose between different string scales of 63-66cm, different neck-measures, kinds of wood and different tuning machines. All tuning machines are fitted with my special "A-fino" bushes which have very little friction.

The "ebony fingerboards" , of my guitars are ergonomically curved. The curve is designed to follow the natural vibration of the strings allowing for smooth and effortless playing in all positions of the neck.

All guitars are available with the Schlemper System.

It is difficult for the audience in a concert hall to tell the difference between one good guitar and another. But differences are noticed very much by the guitarist who compares different instruments. Every detail has to be just right, because if you feel comfortable with your instrument your playing will be good. I think I've become quite good at noticing when things are right for a guitarist.
